What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They are used for a wide range of purposes โ keeping you logged in, remembering preferences, measuring how pages are used, and delivering targeted advertising.
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), websites must tell you clearly what cookies they set and obtain your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
Cookies set by Geneablocks
Netlify hosting infrastructure
Geneablocks is hosted on Netlify. As part of standard hosting operations, Netlify's infrastructure processes technical data including IP addresses when pages are served. This is not set by Geneablocks directly. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
When advertising is added
Before Google AdSense or any advertising network goes live on Geneablocks, we will:
- Update this cookies notice to describe the specific cookies being set
- Add a cookie consent banner to the site which will appear on first visit and allow you to accept or decline non-essential cookies
- Ensure that no advertising cookies are set before your consent is obtained, in compliance with UK GDPR and PECR
You will not be surprised by advertising cookies โ we will ask first.
